Camp Verde Fire District Burning Regulations

IN ACCORDANCE WITH A.R.S. § 49-501 YOU MAY BURN THE FOLLOWING: WEEDS, GRASS, OR ANY OTHER AUTHORIZED MATERIALS (THE FOLLOWING CANNOT BE BURNED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:  ROOFING MATERIALS, ANY PLASTIC, COVERED FURNITURE, ELECTRICAL WIRING, CLOTHING, KITCHEN GARBAGE, OIL, GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, OR ANYTHING THAT CREATES A DENSE, BLACK SMOKE OR NOXIOUS ODOR) WHICH WOULD CONSTITUTE A FIRE HAZARD.

BURN HOURS ARE 6:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M.

  1. The Dispatch office will be notified BETWEEN 6:00 A.M. AND 11:00 A.M. prior to burning by calling 567-4123.
  2. Camp Verde Fire District will determine on a daily basis whether or not to allow burning.
  3. All burning must be under the control and direct supervision of an adult at all times.
  4. There will be use of some form of a fire break (wet down perimeter, etc.).
  5. The person granted permission to burn acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for any and all damage to public and or private property.
  6. The Camp Verde Fire District does not assume any responsibility or liability in the burning by issuance of this permit.
  7. Violation of any part of this agreement will result in the revocation of this burning permit.

If you are a resident of Camp Verde Fire District you must fill out a Burn Permit at our administrative office at 26B Salt Mine Road.  Burn Permits are now issued with no expiration date.  If you have any questions please contact us at (928) 567-9401.
