Public Education is a top priority for the Camp Verde Fire District. This is the venue through which we share information to help protect the citizens by teaching them life safety information. We partner with many organizations to raise awareness of fire hazards and promote fire safe behavior. In conjunction with other fire departments in the Verde Valley, we provide education in area schools via innovative programs. Additionally, our Fire Prevention Division will assist in providing safety curricula such as "Learn Not to Burn" and "Risk Watch" to our community schools. The life saving fire prevention lessons children learn when they are young are proven to be effective in protecting them from injury or death in the event of a fire.
Statistics show that fire and fall deaths increase greatly as we age. So we also bring educational programs to the Senior community to help prevent injury. Please call Jeremy Doerksen at 567-1294 or Barbara Rice at 567-9401 to schedule a presentation for your class or organization.
